The Chaplaincy Service at Bluewater serves one of the largest retail complexes in the UK, providing support to the retail and facilities staff in the context of their daily life and work.

The chaplaincy team consists of a full-time Lead Chaplain and a large team of volunteer chaplains.

As Lead Chaplain you must be a committed Christian, lay or ordained, with a sound understanding of the nature, purpose and vision of chaplaincy and with a proven ministry in pastoral care.

MitE is an Ecumenical charitable company which works alongside local businesses, churches of all denominations, town & city councils  to provide chaplaincy services and work & wellbeing resources to business public and voluntary communities around the North West.

This post is open to all, lay or ordained, who are able to support the Charity’s objects which include the promotion of “the application of Christian principles within the economy and their appreciation by Christians and non-Christians and thus foster the developments of a healthy economy by encouraging best practice and influencing public opinion in favour of gospel values.”

The Director of Operations leads the established Ecumenical Chaplaincy Team and develops their theological understanding of the effects of the regional economy, and communicate this to Churches and faith groups through training and study events.

The Mission in the Economy office base is in Liverpool city centre with satellite groups in St Helens and Warrington.

VACANCY Canary Wharf Retail Chaplaincy


The Canary Wharf Multifaith Chaplaincy is seeking applications for a new and exciting post as Team Leader of the Retail Chaplaincy team.

We are looking for someone to join this unique Multifaith Chaplaincy team working on the Canary Wharf Estate, who will recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers to provide friendly support and care, through regular visiting.

There are five retail malls on the Canary Wharf Estate, with over 300 shops, cafes and restaurants making it the fourth largest shopping destination within the M25 after Brent Cross.

The post is for 3 days a week. The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years’ chaplaincy experience, and be self-motivated. The salary is £39,200 pro rata.

Opportunity  for an Anglican priest to lead a well-established chaplaincy to a number of significant companies and organisations in and around the city.

  • To offer pastoral support to employees by regular workplace visits.
  • To develop further the workplace chaplaincy across businesses in the city centre and Nottingham South Deanery.
